Amita Ranjitkar

Amita is our Cancer Nurse Specialist who is currently based in Katherine Hospital. Born and raised in Nepal and having moved to Melbourne at the young age of 17, she started her career with Diploma of Nursing in 2014 and completed her Bachelor of Nursing in 2017 at Holmesglen Institute in Melbourne. She qualified with a post graduate certificate in Oncology/palliative care from The University of Tasmania in 2020.

With over 8 years of experience in oncology nursing, she is competent in anti-neoplastic drug administration, palliative care, complex care planning, providing emotional support and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Amita is very passionate about providing holistic care to the patients and families affected by cancer.
