After a diagnosis
Helping you and your loved ones to cope with a cancer diagnosis
Cancer is a serious illness and most people will experience a range of emotions after a diagnosis. At any stage after a diagnosis you may experience stress and feel a range of emotions such as shock, fear, anger and anxiety.
Following a diagnosis of cancer, you and your family are likely to have many questions. When your mental health needs are met, you are in a better position to manage the demands of treatment. This is the same for family and friends around you.
If you need more information or would like to talk to someone call Cancer Council 13 11 20 (local call cost anywhere in Australia).
